My Philosophy

Your kid is good. And so are you.

I believe in a different way to understand behavior that connects to who they really are.

You go first.

You are the part of the relationship you can most directly influence.

Behavior is information - not a verdict on character

When we understand what behavior is communication, we can respond to the child in front of us, not the label we’ve placed on them.

Connection isn’t a reward. It’s how change becomes possible.

Connection doesn’t replace guidance. It creates conditions in which guidance can be received.

Hold the boundary. Stay flexible about the path.

The outcome may be firm, while the way you reach it can remain flexible.

Repair matters more than perfection.

Return, take responsibility, and reconnect.

What is parent coaching?

Coaching fills in the gap that no one tells you exists until you're already in it.

Think about how you learned what you needed in a home. You learned by living. The kitchen that felt cramped every morning. The light in the bedroom that was never quite right. You built your sense of what you needed slowly, through daily feedback, until eventually you knew yourself well enough to recognize the right place when you found it.

Parenting doesn't usually work that way. The feedback loop feels broken. Do the right thing and your five-year-old screams at you for cutting her hot dog wrong. Hold a boundary and it looks like a meltdown. The moments you actually get it right are often invisible, and the final results may not show up for decades. You can't learn what kind of parent you are, or what your child actually needs, the same way you learned what kind of home you needed.

That's what coaching is for. Not to hand you a script, but to be the feedback loop that parenting doesn't naturally provide. It’s about helping you build an internal sense of direction about yourself, your child, and what you're working toward, so you can find your footing even when the ground feels unsteady.
